ME/MBA Cooperative

Student Application Process:

1. Submit an application to the M.Eng./MBA Cooperative program through EngineeringCAS.
2. Submit an application to the MBA program (at http://mays.tamu.edu/full-time-mba/application-process).
   
   • PRIOR to submitting your application, you must meet with the MBA contact to discuss plans and deadlines.  The current contact is listed below.
3. A complete application package will consist of the below documents, all of which should be submitted through the M.Eng./MBA Cooperative program EngineeringCAS application.
   
   • Each of the above applications
   • Application fee for M.Eng. BMEN only, as the MBA application fee is waived for dual degree students. Student must meet with the MBA contact prior to applying for the MBA program to obtain the fee waiver.
   • Statement of purpose, which should provide an explanation as to your motivation for selecting the dual degree program
   • All university transcripts
   • Resume/CV
   • Three letters of recommendation
4. Follow all application deadlines for both the M.Eng. and MBA programs.
5. If accepted, the applicant will be notified by both the Mays Business School and the Department of Biomedical Engineering regarding the admissions decision. This program is extremely competitive and only a small number of students are admitted each year.

Program Timeline:

Students applying to the M.Eng./MBA program will first begin with the MBA portion of the program. This eighteen-month degree program is condensed into twelve months specifically for dual degree students. Following completion of the MBA program, students will transition directly into the M.Eng. program via Letter of Intent. The M.Eng BMEN program can typically be completed in 1.5 years, but is flexible depending on previous degrees, biomedical engineering background, and the length of the mandatory internship.

Scholarships:

All incoming MBA students, including M.Eng./MBA students are automatically considered for scholarship support during the MBA portion of the program. No additional scholarship application is required. While no fellowships are available to M.Eng. BMEN students through this program, funding availability in biomedical engineering may be available through TA and grader positions.

Biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University provides multi-year funding offers to all admitted doctoral students. Master’s level students can be considered for assistantships at any point in their degree. All applicants are evaluated for funding opportunities using their EngineeringCAS application.

Students who receive funding for graduate school generally receive one or more types of financial assistance. All offers of admission and funding require that students identify a research supervisor.
