M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has appointed Dr. Satish Bukkapatnam as the Barbara and Ralph Cox ’53 Faculty Fellow in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Bukkapatnam is a professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and serves as director of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station’s Institute for Manufacturing Systems. He is also the Rockwell International Professor and holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He earned both his master’s degree and Ph.D. in industrial and manufacturing engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
