M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering, has appointed Dr. Lewis Ntaimo the Marilyn and L. David Black Faculty Fellow in Industrial and Systems Engineering in recognition of his accomplishments and future potential. The endowed faculty fellowship was effective Jan. 1.
Ntaimo is an associate professor in industrial and systems engineering. He joined the Texas A&M engineering faculty in 2004. Ntaimo received his bachelor’s degree in mining engineering and his master’s degree in mining and geological engineering, both from the University of Arizona. He earned his Ph.D. in systems and industrial engineering, also from the University of Arizona.
His research interests are in stochastic programming, systems modeling and engineering processes and discrete event modeling and simulation.
