M. Katherine Banks, vice chancellor and dean of engineering and director of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), recognized five Faculty and Staff Award winners from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering during the 2016 Faculty and Staff Awards banquet.
Banks presented Faculty Awards, a Staff Excellence Award and a Key Contributor Award to electrical and computer engineering faculty and staff during the event.
Carolyn Warzon, administrative coordinator for the computer engineering and systems group, was given a Staff Excellence Award; Dr. S.P. Bhattacharyya, the Robert M. Kennedy '26 Professor I in the department, was given the William Keeler Memorial Fund Teaching Award; Dr. Alex Sprintson, associate professor in the department, was awarded the William O. & Montine P. Head Memorial Research Fund for Contributions; Dr. Rusty Harris, associate professor in the department, was named a William Keeler Faculty Fellow; and Dr. Arum Han, associate professor in the department, was given a Dean of Engineering Excellence Award.
