Richard J. Matus has established the Richard J. Matus ’80 Scholarship in aerospace engineering The gift funded through the Texas A&M Foundation will to provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University.
Matus is the current vice president of sales and marketing at Pointwise Inc., a company that creates software used for grid generation and preprocessing for computational fluid dynamics to be used by engineers and scientists in manufacturing and research organizations.
Matus received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M and received his doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He currently resides in Forth Worth, Texas.
