Elizabeth and Michael L. Walzel ’82 have established the Michael L. Walzel ’82 Study Abroad Scholarship. Distributions from this endowment will be used to provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing participating in study abroad. These students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University.
The Walzels have been active contributors to Texas A&M for more than 30 years with gifts to the Association of Former Students, the Dwight Look College of Engineering, and the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering.
The Walzels reside in Houston where Michael is a manufacturing leader at Dow Chemical Company. They have two children, Michael T. Walzel ’11 and Katherine E. Walzel ’13.
