Several people affiliated with the graduate program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University were recognized for their accomplishments at the 2016 Graduate Student Awards Banquet (pictured in order).
Best Ph.D. Student Award (for outstanding performance of the first two years of the Ph.D. program)
First place: PingChun Hsieh (adviser Dr. I-Hong Hou)
Second place: Matthew Gardner (adviser Dr. Hamid Toliyat)
Third place: Jin Li (adviser Dr. Peng Yu)
Best Ph.D. Student Award (for outstanding performance during the Ph.D. program)
First place: Juseok Bae (adviser Dr. Cam Nguyen)
Second place: Ahad Esmaeilian (adviser Dr. Mladen Kezunovic)
Third place: Celal Erbay (adviser Dr. Arum Han)
Additionally, Dr. Qinghua Li received the Best ECE Alumni Award for outstanding scientific contributions to increase the visibility and prestige of the graduate program.
Tammy Carda, a senior academic advisor in the graduate program, received a certificate of appreciation for 32 years of outstanding performance and invaluable service provided to students, staff and faculty of the department.
