Texas A&M University’s online graduate engineering program was again ranked first in the state of Texas according to the 2019 rankings released Jan. 15 by U.S. News & World Report Best Online Graduate Engineering Programs. The program was ranked No. 7 in the U.S. overall, up one spot from last year.
“The College of Engineering is among the oldest colleges at Texas A&M and this ranking speaks to our great tradition of excellence in teaching and student engagement,” said Dr. Sunay Palsole, assistant vice chancellor for remote education. “As one of the land-grant institutions in the great state of Texas, we take pride in exploring and using multiple modalities to meet the educational needs of the state.”
The rankings include public and private colleges and universities with degree-granting programs offering online classes needed to complete the degree. Programs are rated on graduate indebtedness, course delivery, and academic and career support made available to students remotely.
The College of Engineering’s online graduate program currently offers 10 online master’s degree options with more planned for the future.
