R. Andrew Udden ’80 has established the Udden Endowed Scholarship. Distributions from this endowment will be used to provide one or more scholarships to full-time students in good standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University.
 
Udden graduated from Texas A&M with his bachelor’s in 1981 and master’s in 1982 in computer science. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Rice University in 2002. During his time at Texas A&M, Udden was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and the vice president of Alpha Phi Omega.
 
He was the owner of Growing Furniture from 1994-2010 and now serves as the operations manager at PortaGas, Inc, which supplies a variety of calibration gases used in industrial hygiene and safety applications in Pasadena, Texas.
