Meet Dr. Isuru Godage, an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University.
He leads groundbreaking research at the Soft Medical and Adaptable Robotics Technology (SMART) lab. With a focus on innovative designs, efficient modeling systems and motion planning algorithms, his team is at the forefront of developing cyber-physical systems to facilitate human-friendly cooperation, robust locomotion, safe MRI-guided minimally invasive surgical interventions, and secure coordination frameworks for human-robot collaborations.
The SMART lab is supported by National Science Foundation and National Institute of Health grants, including an NSF CAREER award.
