Recognizing the transformative impact Texas A&M University had on her life, Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution donor Tera Davis ’94 is paying it forward by establishing the Tera Davis ’94 Industrial Distribution Endowed Scholarship. She hopes to provide students pursuing a career in cybersecurity the same opportunities that shaped her own journey.
From her first steps on the Texas A&M University campus to her current role as CEO of CyberOne, Davis has embodied the Aggie spirit, which she witnessed for the first time on a campus tour. As she walked into the Memorial Student Center, she observed the connection between students as they were gathered listening to someone play the piano in the historic Flag Room.
Enchanted by the warmth and inclusiveness of the Aggie family, she decided to pursue her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M. The courses she took and the friendships she made proved instrumental in her professional growth and success.

“The Aggie network has impacted my career with the relationships I built and the ability to network with fellow Aggies easily,” Davis said.
Now, with over two decades of experience in the cybersecurity field, Davis has established herself as an industry professional. As the founder and CEO of CyberOne, she navigates the ever-evolving cybersecurity industry. She is passionate about her work and dedicated to excellence, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
Davis remains connected to Texas A&M. Whether cheering on the Aggies at Kyle Field, actively serving in alumni organizations, or returning to campus to speak with the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, she embodies the Aggie spirit in every aspect of her life.
She encourages students to embrace every opportunity for growth. “Get as involved as possible! There are endless ways to be a part of the Aggie family - during and after graduation,” Davis said.
With her scholarship, Davis aims to alleviate some of the financial burden faced by many college students. She hopes that by removing some barriers to receiving an education, students may feel supported and empowered to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. “It can be overwhelming to face the debt of receiving an undergraduate degree. I hope this makes a positive impact on a student's financial situation as they embark on their career,” Davis said.
Davis hopes to provide opportunities for students to develop academically and professionally who would not have them otherwise, whether they’re freshmen learning the Aggie culture or seniors preparing for their Elephant Walk.
“It is important to me to give back to the University that provided me with a wonderful education and college experience,” Davis said.
