Graduate Programs Admissions Eligibility
Students interested in the ITDE program must meet and follow the requirements outlined below to be considered for the program:- Possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in one of the engineering discipline
- Please note that a GRE exam is not required for application to this program.
- Leveling courses required for students with a non-ABET bachelor's degree. These leveling courses are in addition to those fulfilling a student's Master of Engineering in engineering degree plan. Some example leveling courses include differential equations, particle statics and dynamics, and design courses.
- Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 for
bachelor's degree and at the graduate level;

success of the student in a graduate program of study, and the student’s intended career path upon graduation.

- Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers (Current Texas A&M graduate students may submit two letters of recommendation)
- One letter must be from Texas A&M faculty who commit to advising the student's research.
- It is preferred that the remaining letters come from faculty who have been involved with the student’s most advanced levels of academic education and who can assess the student’s potential for advanced scholarly
studies. Do not include letters from family friends or other non-technical referees who cannot fairly assess your academic abilities.
- Resumé/Curriculum Vita
- Unofficial transcripts from all previously attended college institutions (official transcripts will be required if you are admitted).
- English-language proficiency:
- Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency to be eligible for review. Visit http://admissions.tamu.edu/ for a list of acceptable documentation and/or test scores.
