Advising Appointments at McAllen

Advising Office Hours

Academic advising for engineering students at the Higher Education Center at McAllen is available by appointment only. The Engineering Advising office remains closed when Texas A&M University is closed. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for official dates.

Virtual (Zoom) or in-person appointments should be scheduled through Navigate, and appointments are available Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

How to Schedule an Advising Appointment

Current engineering students can schedule an appointment by logging in to Navigate with your NetID and password and follow the steps below.

1. Click the blue “Schedule an Appointment” button.
2. Select "Advising Texas A&M University."
3. Select a “Service” (for example, EN-Engineering Academic Advising)
4. Pick a date.
5. Click the blue “Find Available Times” button.
6. Select “Virtual (Zoom) or “In-Person” in the left menu “How would you like to meet?”
7. Click on “McAllen – Higher Education Center (HEC) – see Additional Details (ENGR)”
8. Choose a time or choose an advisor, then a time.
9. Click the blue “Schedule” button.
