Aerospace Engineering
We are continuing to work on renovating the spaces in the Harvey R. "Bum" Bright Building. Our goal is to outfit our spaces with state-of-the-art furniture while also introducing the expansion of electrical outlets, allowing our students to make the most of these spaces for extended periods of time.
Biomedical Engineering
We are continuing to work on providing undergraduate scholarships to our students. Scholarships serve as a vital lifeline for students, alleviating the burden of financial concerns and empowering them to fully engage in their academic journey. Chemical Engineering
The Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering is choosing to highlight our students' need for study abroad scholarships for those studying Thermodynamics. For three years, our department has offered Thermodynamics I as a study abroad course in Scotland. The impact of this program is undeniable; our students emerge from this transformative experience not only with academic knowledge but also with a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration.
Civil and Environmental Engineering
The Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is hoping to change the lives of students through supplying more scholarships for study abroad programs. Funds provided will not only help students have high-impact experiences while studying abroad, but allow them to not worry about finances and focus completely on the academic and individual growth that these trips offer.
Computer Science and Engineering
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is dedicated to providing support that allows students to better understand the materials they are learning in our classrooms and labs. The Peer Teacher Program provides students in lower-level courses with access to a peer teacher, fostering ongoing academic success and collaboration.
Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is hoping to expand its impact through supporting the Peer Tutoring Program. This resource was revived during the Spring 2023 semester, and students have expressed how crucial peer-to-peer interaction is to their academic success, emphasizing its role in enhancing their comprehension of key concepts taught in class. Supporting this program is a strategic investment in students' education and academic achievements.
Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution
The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution is seeking funding for teaching lab equipment for current students via the Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution Excellence Fund. Support will empower the department to offer updated teaching lab equipment, enabling hands-on learning that will ultimately cultivate academic excellence and practical engineering skills for successful academic and professional careers.
Industrial and Systems Engineering
The Wm Michael Barnes '64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is looking for support in the development of the Industry 4.0 Research and Education Lab in the Emerging Technologies Building. The Industry 4.0 Research and Education Lab has empowered students to create models replicating advanced factory technologies, which fosters hands-on exploration of cutting-edge industrial processes, including automation and data analytics.
Materials Science and Engineering
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is placing a spotlight on our students' demand for a materials foundry lab. This experiential learning initiative will equip our students not only with substantial knowledge but also with practical, real-world skills that are essential for success in the workforce. Mechanical Engineering
The J. Mike Walker ‘66 Department of Mechanical Engineering is looking for support to provide new cutting-edge equipment needed for the Rapid Prototyping Studio. The Rapid Prototyping Studio is an invaluable resource for our mechanical engineering students and faculty. It offers educational support, supervised equipment operation, and part fabrication services for rapid prototyping. Students can find a range of materials available for purchase within the Rapid Prototyping Studio to help with their projects throughout their time at Texas A&M.

Petroleum Engineering
The Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering is continuing to endorse the Joe B. Foster ’56 Student Paper Contest. This event offers a unique platform for our junior, senior and graduate students to engage in a peer-level competition, finely honing their abilities in presenting technical papers and research projects through both oral and visual mediums. Winners of the local competition have the opportunity to advance and compete regionally and internationally.
